Adhlea and Gaspard
So... I promised a post about the relationship between Adhlea/Gaspard.
Okay. Well, here goes nothing.
Gaspard finds Adhlea attractive, for certain. She's young, pretty, and elf or not she is definitely attractive to many men. She's off-putting, really doesn't care what others think of her and is honest.
And honestly, she doesn't get in the way of Gaspard's plans - not until it threatens the world. She's also a secretive Dalish elf who says 'Creators', pays lip service to the Maker because he asks her to while they're in Halamshiral during the wedding. She does this just so that he isn't questioned - at least, that's what he thinks.
Adhlea, on the other hand...
As I've stated in the past, Adhlea does not like humans sexually. Aesthetically speaking, she was attracted to Dorian - when they first meet - and Marina Hawke, because she's a genuinely nice woman. When they met, she had a deep dislike of Gaspard but only because she was forced into a situation she didn't like.
When they meet in Halamshiral after she's been part of the Inquisition for a while, she finds him far more pleasant company - if only because they have to work together. They're married, and since the marriage is about five or six years (I completely messed up my inner timeline, btw...) old by now, they have to face down an enemy who's working for a thousand-year-old ancient Tevinter magister. It is literally life-and-death that the enemy does not know they know about it.
Their friendship appearing out of nowhere? It's a peace offering that both of them like. It's half an apology from Gaspard. For Adhlea, it's a hope that maybe this 'forced marriage to a human' won't end badly.
And only I know if it does!
Please keep reading the story to find out!
